Chris specialises in corporate, commercial and intellectual property law and is based in our Market Harborough office. He advises on mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures, private equity and investments and regularly advises on international transactions. Chris also advises on commercial disputes including director and shareholder disputes, contractual disputes and intellectual property infringement actions.

Tom Lathom, Solicitor (Commercial Contract and Property Dispute Litigation)

 

Tom specialises in commercial contract disputes and landlord/tenant disputes and is based in our Market Harborough office.

 

He has considerable experience of both fast and multi-track claims and advises clients on their prospects of success in a cost-effective manner. Tom is an experienced county court advocate and worked as a duty solicitor for over two years providing advice to tenants in relation to eviction proceedings. As a duty solicitor Tom made submissions in Court on behalf of clients, cross examined witnesses and presented complex legal arguments. Tom is now mainly instructed by landlords in relation to disputes with their tenants and uses his extensive knowledge of section 8 and section 21 procedures to secure possession of his clients’ properties.

 

Tom also advises on Employment Law including wrongful dismissal, unfair dismissal and redundancy claims and frequently advises clients on settlement agreements (previously known as compromise agreements)
