Banking Solicitors & Finance Solicitors
We are a modern and progressive banking law firm and operate a new legal services business model which significantly reduces our overheads and which means we can transfer the benefit of those cost savings back to our customers in the form of competitive fee rates.
What sets us apart from many other banking solicitors is that we deliver legal services using a business model that utilises the best aspects of the traditional banking law firm but which also incorporates a flexible consultancy based legal services model. This means that many of our banking solicitors are consultants who work remotely at various locations in England and by using the latest IT technology they can service our clients anywhere in England and Wales. Our business model means that clients have the option of choosing either remote delivery of legal services which is simple, effective and cost efficient or alternatively the more traditional delivery of legal services via meetings in person at either our serviced offices or at the client's business premises.
With the exception of our administrative headquarters, we only use serviced offices for basic needs such as telephone answering. Any additional fees for meetings are only incurred on an "as and when" used basis which means that we do not incur many of the significant property overheads which are incurred by other more traditional corporate law firms.
Our finance solicitors go to great lengths to understand your business, and also your business needs, and only when this has been assessed will they provide banking legal advice tailored to your specific needs. As a banking law firm we endeavour to provide advice that is astute, commercial and pragmatic, and where possible we aim to add value to your business.
Our banking solicitors provide the following banking and finance legal advice:
Loan Finance - Are you considering raising loan finance? If so our finance solicitors can provide practical advice on potential sources of finance. We can also negotiate the terms of the loan finance, on your behalf
Invoice Discounting and Factoring- Do you have cashflow issues? Potential solutions include invoice discounting and also factoring arrangements. Our experienced banking lawyers will be able to advise on the risks associated with invoice discounting and factoring, thereby enabling you to determine whether these options would be suitable for your business
Debentures - This is generally a charge over the assets of a company or business. As with all forms of security it is normally demanded by the lender to secure loan repayments. If there is a default under the loan agreement, then the lender can secure repayment of the outstanding sums owed by the borrower, by enforcing the terms of the debenture
Personal Guarantees - In addition to other security documentation, it is very common for lenders to request that borrowers enter into personal guarantees. Our finance lawyers can advise on the implications of personal guarantees for you
General Security - We also advise on all other forms of security including legal mortgages and charges relating to assets generally, including property
