We agree a fee sharing arrangement with our consultant solicitors, which is extremely competitive and towards the top end of reward structures offered by similar firms in the legal sector. This means that our consultant solicitors can have a flexible lifestyle, which in some cases involves other business interests.
We only recruit consultants that have either worked for leading national or regional firms and/ or have held senior positions in law firms. Therefore any client can be rest assured that they are receiving first rate legal advice at cost efficient rates.
Summerfield Browne is authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority. We have various progressive marketing initiatives which means that we are able to refer a lot of work to our experienced consultants to service. We are a fast growing commercial law firm.
Our commercial consultant solicitors provide the following services:
1. Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts. Our consultants advise on commercial contract structures, and they also draft standard and bespoke commercial contracts. We also negotiate commercial contracts either directly, or indirectly by providing guidance to the client.
2. We advise on commercial collaborations and joint ventures. Such collaborations can include joint research and development arrangements. It is important in joint ventures to establish each party’s role and duties, and to clarify whether any developments will either be jointly owned, or solely owned by a specific party.
3. We advise on agency, distribution and supply agreements. It is important to distinguish between agency and distribution agreements, and which would be suitable for a client’s needs. We also advise on the Commercial Agents Regulations, and the implications for termination of commercial agency arrangements.
4. Our commercial team also draft and negotiate terms and conditions for the supply of goods and services. We also advise on incorporation of the terms and conditions to ensure that they govern the contract and are enforceable.
