Day 10 – Standard Form Contract (Adhesion Contract)
Definition: A contract drafted by one party with stronger bargaining power, leaving the other party with little or no room to negotiate terms.
Example: Insurance policies or terms of service agreements for mobile apps.
Example: Leicester city council offers festive market stalls up for rent. The agreement to rent these is a pre-set form with conditions about opening hours and decorations. Anyone who is interested in renting the stalls cannot negotiate with these terms and conditions.
