Depending on your position, and the department that you are appointed to, your job specification may include:

Researching and preparing legal documents including court pleadings;
Drafting contracts and sale and purchase agreements;
Interviewing clients and witnesses, and taking instructions from clients;
Advising clients on the options available to them, and providing comprehensive legal advice to enable them to make an informed decision on which option might be the most appropriate;
Going to court and/ or dealing with alternative dispute resolution strategies including attending mediation;
Handling a caseload of clients and managing their files.
